The creative agency SDB Stile di Bologna had a clear goal: to rethink the comfort of their workspaces by combining optimal thermal and acoustic performance with an aesthetic that evokes nature. For them, a traditional fan coil wasn’t enough. They needed a solution that could merge technological innovation with material authenticity.
Galletti answered the call by offering something entirely new: a fan coil clad in real wood for the first time, combining technology and natural material to create a truly unique comfort experience.
Galletti and SDB worked in co-design, developing the best combination of materials and style for each space.
We needed an innovative physical space, capable of conveying both identity and comfort. Thanks to a natural element like wood, which Galletti integrated into our environments, we found it.
A co-design project that brought together SDB’s creativity and Galletti’s know-how in HVAC. A solution that uniquely combines aesthetics and performance.

Wood: a new dimension for HVAC Design
Using real wood* as cladding for a fan coil is an absolute first in the HVAC sector—a material that adds depth, authenticity, and sensory value. Thanks to collaboration with ALPI, an Italian leader in wooden decorative surfaces, wood was successfully integrated into the design of hydronic units —ensuring durability and compatibility with the designed environments. This approach opens up new possibilities in customization, turning fan coils into true furnishing elements capable of harmonizing with their surroundings.
